Kaduna, Oct. 1, 202 Mr Nuraddeen Abdullahi has assumed duty as the new Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kaduna State.

The News Agency of Nigeria report that Abdullahi took over from Mr Babangida Dustinma, who was deployed to the NSCDC Headquarters in Abuja.

Abdullahi was the corps commandant Adamawa before his posting to Kaduna.

In his farewell address, Dutsinma appreciated the synergy among security agencies in the state, which facilitated successes in the efforts to ensure sustainable peace in the state.

He also commended the state government for supporting the corps with logistics to enhance its services.

Dutsinma urged personnel of the corps to support the new commandant in order to surpass the successes recordedunder his leadership of the command.

“My call is that the commandant cannot achieve much without your cooperation, support and encouragement.

“You  should support, encourage and mobilize for him to do whatever it takes to succeed.”

On his part, Abdullahi assured people of the state that civil defence corps will continue to do its best in order to  overcome the problem of insecurity in the  state.

He urged the personnel to maintain discipline in their official and personal activities.

“Let us be discipline first, then cooperation and collective responsibility, to achieve the mandate of the corps.”

He stressed that the NSCDC will not compromise on discipline, loyalty and commitment to work.
