2023: I’m Confident Of Winning – Oyo PDP Reps Candidate, Ijabah

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Irepo/Oorelope/Olorunsogo Federal constituency in Oyo State, Hussaini Yusuf Ijabah, has expressed confidence in winning next year’s election.
Ijabah said, by the tradition of rotation in the three Local Government Areas also known as “Old Irepo”, it’s the turn of Irepo LG to produce the next House of Representatives member.
He spoke in Kishi, headquarters of Irepo LG, during the general meeting of the PDP which witnessed a massive turnout.
Ijabah, a serial banker and entrepreneur also said Olumide Ojerinde, the incumbent House of Representatives member, is not a threat to his ambition.
Ijabah declared that the party had resolved its crisis and brought all stakeholders on board towards ensuring a landslide victory for the party next year.
He said “This is one of the best general meetings we have had in Irepo Local Government and one of its kind in the entire ‘Old Irepo.’
“As you can see, I don’t need to tell you. You see the people, you see the youths, you see the old, you use the women. With the spirit and energy, I need no explanation as to how much I am acceptable to my people.
“By the grace of God, we have reconciled all our party members, all the contestants are together with us 100 percent. Our executive chairman is with us. Every other person that we contested with, they are with us.
“I won’t say there is no challenge, there is a challenge but it’s something that we can overcome with the shortest period. We still have some months to the election, and before then, we should be able to solve our differences.”
Speaking further, he said “I don’t see that same person as a threat. We have a tradition in this area, the offices go from one community to the other. It’s the turn of Irepo now to produce the member of the House of Representatives in Abuja.
“Our opponent or the sitting member of the House of Representatives, we don’t see him as a threat because we have a tradition here and everybody understands it very well.
“When I am elected next year by the Grace of Almighty Allah, my people should expect more unity, more progress, love with the community and party members.”
