Free flights for a year as Hilda Baci breaks Guinness world record

Chef Hilda Baci, who recently achieved a Guinness World Record, has received a generous reward from Dana Air. The Chief Operating Officer of Dana Air, Ememobong Ettete, made the announcement via the company’s official Twitter account on Tuesday.

Hilda surpassed the previous record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual. She started her culinary journey on Thursday, May 11, 2023, surpassing India’s Lata Tondon, who held the record with a time of 87 hours and 45 minutes set in 2019.

Ememobong Ettete expressed the company’s commitment to supporting young Nigerians who demonstrate exceptional talent and creativity, embodying the essence of the Nigerian spirit. As a proudly Nigerian brand, Dana Air has always been at the forefront of supporting the arts, entertainment, healthcare, and culture, as part of their comprehensive corporate social responsibility initiatives.

In recognition of Hilda’s remarkable achievement, Dana Air will sponsor her domestic travels for one year. The company finds inspiration in her strength and determination for greatness. Furthermore, acknowledging Hilda’s mother, who is also a chef and likely played a role in inspiring her daughter, Dana Air will provide three months of free local flights to support her as well.

Ememobong Ettete expressed gratitude to Hilda’s mother for raising an amazing daughter and serving as a significant support system. The company also extended appreciation to all those who impartially supported Hilda during her record-breaking feat, recognizing them as the real MVPs.
