Google has announced plans to invest €13 billion, or about $15.1 billion, in artificial intelligence infrastructure in Finland.
The company plans to build three new data centres in northern Finland.
Google said the region’s cold climate will help reduce the energy required to cool its servers.
The company has also agreed to buy up to half of the output from one of Finland’s nuclear power plants for 22 years.
The investment will expand Google’s European AI infrastructure.
It will support services including Gemini, Search, Maps and YouTube.
Google described the project as its largest European investment to date.
