The Emir of Daddere in Nasarawa State, Alhaji Balarabe Sayeed-Mohammed, has called on Nigerians to pray for the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration to succeed in fighting terrorism.
Sayeed-Mohammed, a second class emir, made the call on Thursday while felicitating with the President on the country’s 60th Anniversay in Lafia.
According to him, the administration of President Buhari needs prayers to succeed in fighting insurgency.
Sayeed-Mohammed expressed confidence that with prayers and commitment by government, security treat would be a thing of the past
He called on Nigerians to assist security operatives with useful information whenever the need arises to enable them succeed.
“Fighting terrorism is the responsibility of all as everyone has a role to play in this regard.
“President Buhari and Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State need our prayers to overcome the too numerous challenges facing the nation, to address the nations problems,’’ emir said,
He commended the President for fighting corruption, which he described as one of the major problems facing the country.
The traditional ruler also appealed to Nigerians to be patient with the president as the situation had been muddled even before he assumed office.
“We should join hands with him to move the nation forward.
“Nobody has the instant answer to our problems, it has to be done gradually, as such we should join hands with him to enable him find lasting solutions to the mirage of problems he inherited”, the emir said.
