MrBeast has surprised the internet with a side of himself that fans did not see coming.
The YouTube superstar has jumped into the music world with a rap verse on Lil Baby’s new “Dead Fresh” remix.
Yes, you read that right.
MrBeast actually grabbed the microphone and rapped alongside one of hip-hop’s biggest names.
The unexpected collaboration arrived on August 31, 2026.
The song is a remix of Lil Baby’s Pharrell-produced track “Dead Fresh.” MrBeast also appears in the music video, which was filmed in his hometown of Greenville, North Carolina.
Fans Did Not See This Coming
For someone who built his career around massive YouTube challenges, giveaways and philanthropy, a rap verse was probably not on most people’s bingo cards.
That is what makes the release so surprising.
MrBeast does not simply appear in the video for a few seconds.
He delivers his own verse and jumps fully into the track.
His lyrics even reference some of his biggest projects, including TeamTrees and TeamSeas.
That gives the verse a very MrBeast feel while still fitting into the rap track.
And Honestly, It Is Better Than Expected
MrBeast is not being introduced as the next superstar rapper.
However, for his first major rap appearance, the result is surprisingly entertaining.
The biggest shock is simply hearing Jimmy Donaldson deliver an actual verse instead of making another joke about music.
There is also something fun about seeing one of YouTube’s biggest creators step outside his usual lane.
Whether people love the verse or think it is completely unexpected, it has certainly given fans something to talk about.
From YouTube Star To MrLean?
The collaboration may not be a one-time joke either.
After working with Lil Baby, MrBeast teased the possibility of a future project involving his MrLean character.
He has not confirmed that an album is actually coming, but the idea alone has already sparked plenty of reactions online.
For now, though, fans have one thing they can agree on.
Nobody expected MrBeast to suddenly appear on a Lil Baby song and start rapping.
And somehow, that is exactly what makes the whole thing so entertaining.
