NYSC extends four corps members’ service year

THE Kano State NYSC Coordinator, Hajiya Aisha Mohammad, has said four corps members have had their service year extended.

She made this disclosure during the distribution of certificates to the outgoing corps members at the Federal Secretariat in Kano on Wednesday.

Though the names of the affected corps members could not be ascertained, the state NYSC coordinator explained that their service year was extended after they were found to have committed various offences, including absconding from their place of primary assignment.

She charged the outgoing 2019 Batch C, Stream 2 corps members to be vanguard of peace and utilise the skills they acquired during the service year to be self-reliant.

The coordinator disclosed that a total of 1,668 corps members passed out, comprising of 989 males and 665 females.
