Ogun LG Polls: UhuruTimes Publisher, 19 Others Emerge APC Chairmanship Candidates

The Publisher of UhuruTimes Newspaper, Hon. Wale Adedayo has emerged as the Chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest the forthcoming Local Government election in Ijebu East Local Government Area of the State.
Adedayo, emerged long side 19 other candidates to fly the flag of the ruling party party at the LG polls, scheduled to hold on Saturday, July 24.
Adedayo, a Special Adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Communication, defeated other aspirants in a keenly contested primary to emerged the party flagbearer in the LG.
Popularly known as “Babalawo”, Adedayo is a progressive and of the Afenifere movement, a pan Yoruba sociocultural group and a staunch Awoist who believe and uphold the values of the late Sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo.
He has empowered thousands of youths, women and widows in his Local Government Area, through his campaign organisation
Adedayo, a former Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, was a major key player in the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the 2003 polls in the State.
His campaign organisation is currently organising a free tutorial for SS3 in his LG to prepare the future leaders for their forthcoming West African Examination Council (WAEC).
Adedayo has as his running mate, Hon. Lola Ige Oyesanya.
