A cleric, Evangelist Joshua Adegboyega, has urged the President, Maj Gen Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), to do everything possible as the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces to rescue a student of Government Girls Science and Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe State, Leah Sharibu, from the Boko Haram’s captivity.
Adegboyega stated this at the 53rd year ministry thanksgiving of the Love of God Evangelistic Association in Lagos State, while adding that the Federal Government must also look at the Southern Kaduna unrest and violence in other parts of the country.
The cleric commended the President for his war against corruption, which according to him, has yielded some results. He, however, indicted him on his inability to take advice that could have improved the prevailing state of insecurity, kidnapping and rape in the country.
He also cast aspersions on Buhari’s ministerial appointments and those of heads of parastatals which he said did not reflect the ideal of federal character but that of sectional interest.
He urged the All Progressives Congress led-government “sworn in as a beacon of change to apologise to Nigerians for failing to fulfill its promised agenda and slogan of change.”
He added that several political parties had failed to move the country forward.
