Alexander Zverev has reached the US Open semi-finals after defeating Botic van de Zandschulp.
The German won the quarter-final in straight sets, 6-2, 7-5, 6-1.
Zverev recovered from an inconsistent start to the tournament and controlled the match.
He is the only Grand Slam champion remaining in the men’s draw.
The victory also means Zverev has reached the semi-finals at all four Grand Slam tournaments this year.
He will face Karen Khachanov in the semi-final.
Khachanov reached the last four after Alexander Blockx retired from their quarter-final because of injury.
