Ben Shelton has defeated defending champion Carlos Alcaraz to reach the US Open semi-finals.
The American eighth seed won a dramatic five-set quarter-final in New York.
Shelton won 6-7(5), 6-1, 6-3, 1-6, 7-6(10-7).
The match lasted four hours and 28 minutes.
It ended at 3:33 a.m., making it the latest finish in US Open history.
Shelton will face fellow American Frances Tiafoe in the semi-final.
The result means a new men’s US Open champion will be crowned this year.
The last American man to win a Grand Slam singles title was Andy Roddick in 2003.
