Floodwaters have begun receding in parts of Bangkok after days of torrential rain.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration declared the capital a disaster-affected area after nearly 300 millimetres of rain fell over 48 hours.
Flooding affected major roads and residential areas.
Some residents remained trapped inside their homes.
The city prepared 233 temporary shelters, with about 4,200 people using them.
Authorities continued pumping water from canals and assisting affected residents.
More thunderstorms and isolated heavy rain were forecast for Monday.
