The Federal Government has selected 16,000 Nigerians for the first cohort of its Digital Training Academy.
The programme received 72,850 applications from Nigerians across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
A total of 19,699 applicants met the qualifying benchmark.
From that group, 16,000 people were selected for the first cohort.
The free programme is designed to provide globally recognised digital skills.
The national launch is scheduled for September 14, 2026.
The government says the academy will help prepare participants for opportunities in the digital economy. The Federal Government has selected 16,000 Nigerians for the first cohort of its Digital Training Academy.
